Onion Pie
For the pastry:
450g plain flour, plus extra for dusting
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
120g unsalted butter, plus extra for Greasing
1 free-range egg yolk
120ml water
1 egg, beaten, for glazing
Method:

To make the onions: Heat the butter add the onions, salt, and pepper, stirring often, until the onions are deep golden brown, add cream cheese and cook around 5 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200°C.
To make the sand dough:

Cut in the butter, mixing until coarse crumbs form, add the flour and add another ingredients for pastry.
To assemble:

Spread the pastry in metalic form , add onions with cream cheese over the dough and cover with a dough , create small holes , greasing with yolk.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until the edges start to brown and the top feels firm.

Remove from the oven, and serve warm.
